1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or using the counseling services provided by ThinkSpace Counseling ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Nature of Services

ThinkSpace Counseling provides mental health counseling services including but not limited to:

• Individual therapy
• Couples and marriage counseling
• Family therapy
• Trauma therapy
• Treatment for anxiety and depression

Our services are provided by licensed mental health professionals in the state of Michigan.

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about your health and history
• Attend scheduled appointments or provide 24-hour notice for cancellations
• Participate actively in your treatment
• Pay for services in accordance with our fee schedule
• Treat our staff and other clients with respect
• Follow the treatment recommendations of your therapist

4. Appointments and Cancellations

Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled by phone, email, or through our online contact form.

Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee equal to the full session cost.

Tardiness: Sessions will end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival. The full fee will be charged.

5. Fees and Payment

Fee Schedule:

• Individual therapy: $150-200 per session
• Couples/Family therapy: $180-250 per session
• Initial assessment may be at a different rate

Payment: Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

Insurance: We accept various insurance plans. It is your responsibility to verify your mental health benefits and obtain any necessary pre-authorizations.

6. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Michigan state law. Information may only be released with your written consent or as required by law, including but not limited to:

• Suspected child, elder, or dependent adult abuse
• When a client poses a danger to self or others
• Court orders or legal proceedings

7. Emergency Services

ThinkSpace Counseling does not provide 24-hour emergency services. In case of a mental health emergency:

• Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
• Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 988
• Text "HELLO" to 741741 (Crisis Text Line)

8. Telehealth Services

If we offer telehealth services, additional terms and consent forms will be provided. Telehealth sessions are subject to the same confidentiality protections as in-person sessions.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality mental health services, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Mental health treatment involves many factors beyond our control, and results vary by individual.

10. Website Use

Content: The information on our website is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice.

Links: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.

Intellectual Property: All content on our website is the property of ThinkSpace Counseling and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the therapeutic relationship at any time. We reserve the right to terminate services if you fail to comply with these terms or if we determine that we cannot meet your clinical needs.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Oakland County, Michigan.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
